About this guide

Generative AI is a type of artificial intelligence (AI) which uses machine learning algorithms in order to produce or edit content. The content can be anything from text, images, sound, code or other types of formats.

This guide is meant to give those who work or study at Karlstad University basic information on how to use generative AI tools in an ethical, creative, and critical way.

Progress in this area is quick, and therefore the rules and avaliable tools will change quickly. It's your own responsibility too keep up with what is relevant for each and every assignment you have.
